This is the present I made my youngest sister. I got really obsessed with the idea of making a color-block button-down shirt, and also with the idea of repurposing thrifted mens’ shirts to do so. I used this pattern and finished it with french seams. About a week after we got back from Texas, I realized it would’ve been even more awesome if I’d put elbow patches on the sleeves. I have a soft spot for elbow patches. Sorry, Bon!
This shirt looks adorable under a cardigan and will be perfect for mild Texas winters. I might have to make myself one! (Stay tuned for more handmade Christmas presents.)
